Pugs Take to the Streets

A parade of hundreds of Pugs this Sunday will mark the world's largest gathering of Pugs and their owners. The pampered pooches will parade outside their favorite Portland pub -- MacTarnahan's Tap Room -- while owners enjoy food and drink, and judges crown the King and Queen of Pugs.

All dogs (not just Pugs) are welcome, but must be on leash.

The outdoor event features:

-- Pug costume contest -- Pug kissing booth -- Dogs for adoption from the Oregon Humane Society -- Food and beverages from MacTarnahan's Tap Room -- Free health consultations from Banfield, The Pet Hospital- - Vendors and exhibitors!

When: Sunday, May 20Time: 1 -4 pm
Where: MacTarnahan's Tap Room, 2730 NW 31st Ave., Portland
Cost: $10 suggested donation to the Oregon Humane Society; Pugs (and other dogs) free; kids under 11 free.
