Portland, Oregon - On Sunday, October 18, thousands of television viewers tuned in to  the Oregon Humane Society's Tenth Annual Telethon to End Petlessness, setting an all-time record for supporting animals in need.
Televised  live on Portland's KATU Channel 2, the four-hour telethon succeeded in two of its most  "close to the heart" endeavors for the day: Finding homes for 78 dogs, cats,  rabbits, and rodents and raising over $260,000 to help the  community's homeless companion pets.
